Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a therapeutic setting in which individuals come together as a group to participate in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy sessions. ACT is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that focuses on promoting psychological flexibility, mindfulness, and values-based action to help individuals manage difficult thoughts and emotions, reduce suffering, and enhance their overall well-being. In a group ACT setting, participants work collectively to learn and apply ACT principles and techniques under the guidance of a trained therapist.
